APS6 Regulatory Intelligence Analyst

Canberra City location | 12 month contract with the possibility of extension | $53-$61 per hour plus superannuation, depending on experience

Our prominent Federal Government client is currently seeking an APS6 Regulatory Intelligence Analyst to join their team on a contractual basis. The successful candidate must maintain a high level of integrity, confidentiality and possess strong interpersonal, governance, communication and analytical skills. You must also demonstrate initiative, good judgement and the ability to supervise the delivery of a range of products in a challenging and dynamic environment. PLEASE NOTE: A Baseline Security Clearance is MANDATORY for this role.

Duties include:

  • Development of intelligence collection plans, including identifying supply chains or pathways to discover entities engaged in deliverable non-compliance of a specific Program
  • Collecting data from an array of open sources including social media, which will support your analysis and reduce any potential bias
  • Undertaking liaison and collaboration internally and externally with a range of stakeholders and agencies to ensure the robust understanding of Program supply chains and pathways
  • Applying structured analytical techniques to the data you have collected
  • Writing threat and vulnerability assessments and their dissemination through written and oral briefing techniques
  • Other tasks as requested

    Skills and capabilities:

  • Tertiary qualifications preferably with a research background
  • Experience within the National Intelligence Community is highly desirable
  • Intelligence analysis skills are highly desirable as well as intelligence management experience
  • Proficient in ANACAPA, ORBIS, Analyst’s Notebook and open source collection

    This is a security assessed position. Applicants must be an Australian citizen, with successful candidate either holding or having the ability to obtain a Baseline Australian Government security clearance or undergo other employment suitability checks.
