Our Federal Government client is currently seeking an APS4/5 Payments Analyst to join their team in Mirrabooka. The payments team is responsible for validating payment claims that are, for a range of reasons, unable to be successfully processed through the portal. This work involves investigation and collaboration with staff across the Department to assess the validity of payment claims and determine the most appropriate course of action. As the Payments Analyst it is highly desirable for you to have experience in customer service environments.
Duties will include: Develop a thorough understanding of payment policies and processes and remain up to date with changing work practices and Branch functions Identify the cause of payment issues and engage with a variety of stakeholders to determine the most appropriate course of action Investigate and track/manage complaints and disputed claims Provide high quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders Evaluate the effectiveness of risk management and risk assessment activities within your sphere of responsibility Work within a team and ensure consistent approaches to issues resolution Have an ability to develop and provide procedural and technical expertise in relation to claims and plan funding management in accordance with operational guidelines Meet agreed key performance indicators Contribute to the development of team objectives Have sound analytical skills and provide accurate and objective advice to Team Leader and peers Manage competing priorities while maintaining high work standards and accuracy Other duties as required
