APS6 Policy and Support Officer – Design

12 month contract with the possibility of extension | Melbourne CBD Location | Hourly rate of $51.50 plus superannuation

Our well known Federal Government client is currently seeking a Policy and Support Officer to contribute to the design, implementation and delivery of policies, processes and escalation models, providing support in ensuring it reflects relevant legislation. You will be supporting the Branch by providing assistance in the development and review of the Branch’s compliance and enforcement framework.

Your responsibilities will include;

  • Prepare a range of written material including business cases, reports, executive briefs and corporate documentation
  • Contribute in the development of compliance related policy and procedural directions
  • Identify, encourage and implement improvements to processes and work activities
  • Ensure the use of collaborative strategies to inspire innovative solutions and enhance staff engagement
  • Support team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback to team members to ensure quality outcomes

    Desirable to have:

  • Experience using process modelling systems and notation (e.g. BPMN, ARIS, Visio etc.)
  • The appropriate application of compliance standards and practices
  • Experience working in the Human Services Sector
