Our Federal Government client is currently seeking multiple Policy Officers at the APS6 and EL1 Level. Within this role, you will provide a high level of policy advice within an area where their key focus is to improve the availability and quality of training to match industry skill needs.
Your responsibilities will include; Develop strategic policy advice for the Executive and other external stakeholders on regulatory policy, industry engagement and policy frameworks and mechanisms to meet industry skill needs and address nationally agreed reforms Leading policy projects that support systemic reform Engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders to support in the development of policy advice and the achievement of desired outcomes Collaborate across the team and other internal stakeholders to support in the identification of issues and address them as well as assist in the implementation of projects
To be successful, you will possess; High level strategic policy skills including research, analytical and problem solving Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships Sound leadership skills The ability to prioritise workload in a constantly changing environment
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and or experience in a similar role within a government context would be highly advantageous.
This is a security assessed position. Applicants must be an Australian citizen, with successful candidate either holding or having the ability to obtain a Baseline Australian Government security clearance or undergo other employment suitability checks.
