Our Federal Government client is currently seeking an EL1 Executive Officer to provide a high level of service and manage the workflow in and out of the office of the Executive. Within this role, you will be responsible for a range of matters, including representing the Executive with internal and external stakeholders, acting as the coordination point with corporate business partners, and the quality assurance of papers and chasing work items to flow through other internal offices.
Your responsibilities will also include; Analyse complex material and key policy issues Prepare papers, speaking notes, briefing notes and regular notes for the Executive Provide procurement services and coordination of recruitment Assist with accountable and efficient reporting, including the preparation of Senate Estimates Manage all corporate planning, including business plan, risk plan, cabinet and Departmental budget processes and Annual Report input Ensure consistency across all correspondence and other documentation Monitor and inform the Executive of any urgent or emerging issues and responding to more complex organisational matters on behalf of the Executive
To be successful for this position, you will have; Excellent judgement and great attention to detail The ability to prioritise workload in a constantly changing environment Great interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to deliver on outcomes within short timeframes Highly developed verbal and written communication skills Strong organisational and quality assurance skills
Experience within a similar role in a government context will be highly regarded.
This is a security assessed position. Applicants must be an Australian citizen, with successful candidate either holding or having the ability to obtain a Negative Vetting 1 Australian Government security clearance or undergo other employment suitability checks.
