Our client, a federal government department based in central Canberra, is seeking an experienced Program Manager at the APS 5 level for a period of 5 months with the possibility of extension.
The successful candidate will have excellent program management experience along with strong analytical and written communication skills.
Duties for the role will include: Program management of existing contracted programs and services Assisting with the preparation of working documents, including: informal and formal correspondence to internal and external stakeholders internal reports and program reviews; and drafting parliamentary documents, such as briefs and letters Promoting program successes through news items and good news stories
Previous experience in a program management or policy area in a federal government department would be highly regarded.
This is a security assessed position. Applicants must be an Australian citizen, with successful candidates either holding or having the ability to obtain a Baseline Australian Government security clearance or undergo other employment suitability checks.
