EL1 Assistant Director

  • $520 daily rate plus superannuation

    Our Federal Government client is currently seeking an experienced EL1 Assistant Director to join their growing team in Geelong. They have created a new Branch within their National Office which is responsible for commissioning and managing four new programs. You will be supporting the Director in modelling the Departments values and leading a team to create a high-performing and rewarding environment. The position is required to work with executive level internal and external stakeholders to drive effective implementation of the programs. You will bring your relevant government policy and program experience, communication and analytical skills, exceptional stakeholder and project management skills. To be successful for this position you MUST have previous Commonwealth or State grant administration experience.

    Duties will include:

  • Manage a team to create a high-performing and rewarding working environment
  • Supporting and empowering staff to deliver high quality work within required deadlines
  • Supporting the management of collaborative and strategic relationships through working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting effective and efficient delivery of all programs through managing resources appropriately
  • Provide high quality support for all Ministerial, Board and Executive briefings for the Branch
  • Representing the Branch on internal working groups and the Department in meetings and negotiations with other Government and non-Government agencies
  • Supporting the design and delivery of commissioning for each program
  • Supporting the development of long-term strategic planning for the commissioning of the programs

    This is a security assessed position. Applicants must be an Australian citizen, with successful candidate either holding or having the ability to obtain a Baseline Australian Government security clearance or undergo other employment suitability checks.
