APS 6 Change Implementation Officer

Our client a centrally located federal government department in Canberra is seeking an experienced Change Implementation Officer at the APS 6 level for a period of 6 months with the possibility of an additional 6 months extension.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in delivering a change management process and will have outstanding stakeholder engagement skills.

Duties included in the role however, not limited to:

  • Provide support, advice and assistance to the change coordinator on a range of change management and communication requirements
  • Identify, establish and maintain communication channels and engagement activities to internal stakeholders including surveys, state visits, workshops, training, project updates and input required
  • Be able to multi task change efforts across a range of different projects and ensure a consistent approach
  • Be able to quickly understand the needs of key stakeholders including project managers, operational staff, executive staff etc.
  • Provide high quality written communication material to key stakeholders
  • Co-ordinate input to branch wide updates across multiple projects
  • Draft updates to executive including governance committees on the change management process
  • Provide support to Managers and ensure they understand their individual requirements around change management
  • Manage feedback around the change process
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to executive on the levels of engagement and success/improvement of change activities

    Previous experience working in change management position at the APS 6 level in a federal government department would be highly regarded.

    This is a security assessed position. Applicants must be an Australian citizen, with successful candidates either holding or having the ability to obtain a Baseline Australian Government security clearance or undergo other employment suitability checks.
