APS5/6 Senior Adviser - Performance Management

Our client, a well-known Federal Government Department is currently seeking a Senior Adviser to join their Performance Management team responsible for contributing to the development of and driving the implementation of the Department’s Performance Management Framework and initiatives that support accountability, autonomy and high-quality performance and development conversations between staff and managers.

Duties will include:

  • Coordinating performance management cycle processes.
  • Contributing to the establishment and implementation of effective performance management initiatives that drive enhanced organisational performance.
  • Developing and supporting complex relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Provide expert advice and interpretation in relation to performance enhancement and management, including strategic advice where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the identification and implementation of system and process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain professional knowledge and continue to develop knowledge and expertise in relation to professional skills and professional regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare draft reports, briefing material and correspondence

    To succeed in the role, you will possess;

  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in developing and implementing performance management frameworks and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and supporting complex relationships with managers and staff.
  • Ability to provide quality advice to clients using an honest, open and flexible approach and apply sound judgement and decision making skills.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing a range of written material including, ministerial and agency briefs and corporate documentation.
  • Qualifications in a relevant discipline are desirable.

    The successful candidate is required to hold or be able to obtain a Baseline security clearance. Applicants must be Australian citizens.
