Our Federal Government client, based in Woden, is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant for contract role with an immediate start until December 2019, with a possible extension.

As the Executive Assistant to the First Assistant Secretary (FAS), you will:

  • Provide administration support to the FAS and executive team, including management of diary, monitoring of emails, fielding and directing phone calls, internal and external inquiries.
  • Coordinate responses to regular and ad-hoc reporting requirements from across the branch, often in very tight timeframes and requiring use of judgement and people management.

    You should have the following skills:

  • Strong organisation and administration skills at the executive and branch level.
  • Ability to prioritise, multi-task and manage competing deadlines.
  • Efficient and effective working style with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions, act responsibly and follow through.
  • Ability to build and maintain internal and external networks, utilising effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to quickly sight errors.
  • Fast, accurate typist.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Positive, can-do approach.
