  • 2 year contract - until June 2021
  • Pay rate - $51.50 p/h + 9.5% Super
  • Midland Location - with regular intra state travel

    Our Federal Government client, based in their Midland office, is seeking an experienced HR professional for a 2 year contract start in June 2019 through to June 2021.

    As the HR Business Partner you will be responsible for:

  • Provide HR support to senior business leaders, managers as well as employees in the allocated business area on a range of people issues in line with HR policies, practices and relevant legislation.
  • Review and provide input into HR policies and procedures to ensure practices are compliant with current legislative requirements, APS Guidelines and Agency culture and values.
  • Educate, coach and provide clarification to managers and employees in the use of HR policies, practices and processes including performance, employment conditions and entitlements.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders both within the state or national office network.
  • Work collaboratively with other People & Culture teams to ensure alignment, knowledge sharing, and to build understanding of business needs.
  • Provide case management support for performance improvement.
  • Research and investigate queries from managers and employees relating to HR issues and assist with the formulation of response strategies.
  • Provide analysis of reports regularly on a range of HR metrics, activities and processes.
  • Participate in national HR community of practice meetings and activities.

    To be considered for this role, ideally you will have:

  • Experience working in a HR environment, preferably in a public sector organisation.
  • Working knowledge of HR systems such as SAP.
  • Experience in supporting people and organisational change projects.
  • Good knowledge of the relevant legislation, agreements and policies that underpin employment conditions and people management accountabilities.
  • Experience in supporting performance management and dispute resolution.
  • Ability to coach and educate leaders around good people practice.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR or equivalent experience.
