APS4 Project Officer – Geelong

  • 3 Month Contract (with possible 6 month extension)
  • Pay rate $41.64 per hour + 9.5% Super
  • Central Geelong Location – close to transport

    Our Federal Government client, based in Geelong, is seeking a Project Officer to provide support across a variety of critical projects, for a 3 month contract starting Early February.

    As a Project Officer, you will use your administrative and technical skills to support the respective projects by:

  • Maintaining documents to track project progress
  • Recording and identifying problems and risks
  • Maintaining the project schedule
  • Organising and coordinating meetings

    Ideally you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and project scheduling computer applications
  • Familiarity with a project scheduling tool, ideally MS-Project and/or experience with a Project methodology, either Prince2, PMI, Agile
  • Have studied or undertaking study in Project Management either tertiary or industry certification (desirable)
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, trouble-shoot, and to meet short- and long-term deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience in budget and financial management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent critical and creative thinking and analytical skills
