APS5 Procurement Coordinator

Our client, a Federal Government department, is seeking an experienced Procurement Coordinator for a high profile business area responsible for delivering significant commemorative events for Australia and abroad. This role is based in central Canberra and is to start ASAP through until 30 June 2019 with the potential for extension. There are no clearance requirements for this role.

We are looking for someone who has worked at the APS 5 level who has very good knowledge, understanding and experience in dealing with procurement processes.

In this role you will be the single point of contact and coordinate information between the business area and the major procurement/contracting area within the department. You will coordinate and develop the Statement of Requirements/Specifications and provide general admin/secretariat support for this and other tasks more generally within the department.

Ideally you will have experience in:

  • Procurement in Federal Government department
  • Managing end to end RFQ process for Government, preferably at a Federal Level
  • Flexibility and an ability to progress a complex project with many different considerations and stakeholders
