Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced APS 5 Secretariat Officer to join their busy team based in Woden for a 6 month contract starting ASAP.

Within this role, you will be required to hit the ground running and provide high level executive support for key stakeholder meetings. We are looking for someone with strong stakeholder management, organisational skills and judgement in knowing when to escalate issues.

Daily duties will include but not be limited to;

  • Mailbox management; preparation of meeting papers; scheduling and arranging travel and accommodation; and managing information products.
  • Assisting with event organisation such as meetings or workshops, including making hospitality arrangements; assisting with coordinating government responses and reports, managing information products such as printing.
  • Providing support for the Section's activities, which may include: event and other types of departmental briefs; contract management; and a range of correspondence and other communications; and other corporate functions and financial management and reporting duties, as required.

    An active baseline security clearance will be highly advantageous.
