APS6 Procurement Officer

Our client, a Commonwealth government department based in Woden, is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer at the APS6 level. The role is being offered for an immediate start for a 6 month contract.

The key duties of the role are to undertake a range of procurement and contract management activities for several contracts, including contract negotiation, contract management and deliverable assessment.

You will be responsible for reviewing procurement processes, contract management and assessment documentation for compliance with the Australian Government’s procurement policy framework, the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and the Department’s procurement policy.

The successful candidate will need to possess the following skills:

  • Experience with procurement and contract management within the APS
  • Experience in providing procurement policy advice, or practical procurement experience
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal), including capacity to build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders
  • Well- developed research and analytical skills.

    The successful candidate is required to possess an active Baseline security clearance.
