Our client, a Commonwealth government department is seeking an experienced Project Officer at the APS4-6 level, dependent on experience. The role is being offered for an immediate start until November 2018.
The key duties of the role is to provide a range of administrative functions including: Procurement and management of period maintenance and services contracts; Provision of contract management advice; Management of routine business relating to internal information systems; Routine support to the coordination of travel and accommodation; and Minor projects as required.
The successful candidate will need to possess the following skills:
Experience with procurement and contract management Experience in providing procurement policy advice, or practical procurement experience High level of communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal), including capacity to build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders Well- developed research and analytical skills.
You will possess the ability to initiate work with minimal supervision and undertake interstate travel as required. The key challenge in this role will be providing procurement and contract management support to State and Regional Managers in various locations around Australia.
