Our client, a Commonwealth Government department is seeking an experienced APS 6 Secretariat Officer for an immediate start until the 31 May 2018

Key responsibilities of the position include:

• Using professional judgement to make balanced decisions, factoring in risks and being sensitive to context

• Mentor team members to build team capabilities

• Work as a flexible and effective team member

• Find innovative strategies to overcome roadblocks to deliver and drive projects

Job requirements

• Applicants will require a degree in Science or Pharmacy

• Experience in high level planning and coordination to deliver objectives

• Ability to develop productive working relationships to achieve outcomes and facilitate cooperation

• Energy and drive to meet objectives

• Knowledge of legislative and administrative frameworks, decision-making processes, guidelines and regulations

Desirable

• Experience provide secretariat support to committees

• Experience minute taking – ability to obtain relevant (complex) information
