Our Government client is seeking a SOG B Marketing & Communication Manager and a SOG B Senior Manager Media & Events starting immediately for 6 month contracts.
The Marketing, Communication, Media and Events team is responsible for media and issues management, marketing campaigns, communication strategies, publication approvals, community engagement strategies, customer research and internal communication strategies.
Various duties for both positions include:
Provide effective leadership in the development and implementation of the Directorates media strategy including crisis/issues identification and management. Identify, develop and enhance relationships with media representative. Provide strategic high level advice on media issues to executive management and Minister’s office. Provide high-level advice and communication support to executive management in handling media and community engagement issues. Manage the media inquiry process and act as a spokesperson when required. Conduct media analysis for the Directorate. Manage and oversee adherence to the media policy and maintain for accuracy. Coordinate Ministerial and Directorate events including supporting media, speeches and presentation material.
Extensive high level government experience in public relations, communications and media liaison in a government setting is essential as is a tertiary education in a related field.
