APS 6 Procurement Manager
Ref. KB1805-ACTGEE (Full-Time) : Register your interest

Contract until 23 December 2020 with possible extension | $51.50 per hour plus 9.5% superannuation | Braddon, ACT location or Geelong, VIC location

Our Federal Government client is currently seeking an experienced end to end Procurement Manager. You will be providing technical, professional and policy advice as well as assist with strategic planning, program and project management and policy development.

Your responsibilities:

  • Perform end to end procurement activities
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of risk management and risk assessment activities
  • Providing accurate and specialised advice including anticipating problems and contributing to issues management
  • Set priorities for the work area, maintaining team cohesion and ensuring quality of output for the work area
  • Contribute to the development of team objectives for short term tasks and strategic planning for longer-term initiatives

    Your background:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of end to end procurement activities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Commonwealth IT systems, SAP and purchasing and finance management systems
  • Hold a Certificate IV in Government Procurement and Contracts or something similar
  • Knowledge of legislative, financial and administrative frameworks, government decision-making processes and agency guidelines and regulations
  • Ability to perform management responsibilities including setting of priorities and managing workflow

    Please note this opportunity does require the occasional travel to other NDIA office locations to meet with various teams across the organisation.

  • APS5 Finance Officer

    4 month contract with the possibility of extension | Canberra Location | Baseline Security clearance required

    Our Federal Government client is currently seeking an APS5 Finance Officer to join their team in Canberra. Under limited direction, you will carry out various reconciliations, monitor the finance helpdesk and provide advice, guidance and support on the internal financial policies and procedures.

    You will also be responsible for the following;

  • Monitoring cash balances and daily banking
  • Undertaking debtor reporting and managing debt recovery process, including preparing claims for payment
  • Monitoring and maintaining the finance helpdesk, including liaising, responding and resolving stakeholder enquiries
  • Interpreting, drafting and formulating procedures and policy in the finance area and providing support and advice to staff
  • Supporting the team with the preparation of monthly and end of financial year reporting
  • Providing administrative support as required, including organisation of team meetings, filing and IT coordination

    Demonstrated experience in SAP and in a similar role within a Government context would be highly regarded.

    Our Federal Government client is currently seeking multiple Compliance Officers to join their team on a contractual basis. Within this role, you will be working in a team to ensure advertising is compliant with the relevant legislation and support in the enforcement of this compliance through examination, investigation and identification activities.

    Your responsibilities will also include;

  • Identify and record evidence to support investigative outcomes
  • Undertake targeted stakeholder education related activities to facilitate compliance
  • Draft and issue official correspondence according to government policy and legislation
  • Prepare compliance documentation for stakeholders identified as breaching legislation
  • Assist senior staff in conducting large and complex compliance activities
  • Maintain an awareness of developing compliance issues
  • Maintain records and contribute to procedures and systems development

    To be successful, you will possess;

  • Ability to interpret and apply complex legislative requirements
  • Current NV1 Security Clearance
  • Strong investigative, analytical and research skills
  • Well-developed organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and determine priorities to meet deadlines and deliver outcomes
  • Ability to make decisions based on sound judgement and evaluate risks in a complex and changing environment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and liaison skills

    It is also desirable that you have the following;

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Government (Investigation) or the ability to obtain
  • Experience within a regulatory or compliance agency and or in investigation and complex cases

    Occasional interstate and intrastate travel will be required for this position.

    Our Federal Government client is currently seeking APS5 Case Managers to join their team in multiple locations. Within this role, you will work in a high-performing team to manage complex application cases in accordance with legislation, policy and standard operating procedures.

    Your responsibilities will include;

  • Maintaining output in line with defined parameters
  • Liaising with internal and external clients
  • Drafting ministerial and departmental correspondence relating to complex cases
  • Providing advice on routine interpretation of court orders, policy application and procedures to the network
  • Responding to enquiries via phone and email regarding complex applications

    To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate;

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and interpret legislation
  • Experience in case management
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet set KPI’s with the highest degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to participate in coaching, and when required, performance management procedures
