EL1 HR Policy Writer

Our Federal Government client, based in Woden, is seeking an EL1 HR Policy Writer to assist the Workplace Behaviours and Conditions Section in redesigning their policies and procedures for managing workplace behaviour. The contract starts first week of May through to 30 June 2019, with a possible 6 month extension.

The role is responsible for:

  • Planning, development and implementation of HR policies and procedures for managing workplace behaviour
  • Planning, development and implementation of HR procedures for managing enhanced remuneration

    The role requires:

  • Demonstrated experience, knowledge of HR management processes and understanding of relevant employment legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to research, interpret and apply legislation, policies and guidance material
  • Proven ability to write policies and procedures
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders including the ability to build productive working relationships with internal and external clients
  • Well-developed planning skills

  • APS5 Learning and Development Officer

    Our Federal Government client, based in Woden, is seeking an APS5 Learning and Development officer to start ASAP for a 6 month contract.

    As the Learning and Development Officer you will be responsible for coordinating a number of learning programs and client groups including:

  • Coordination of the department’s core skills curriculum, including scheduling and liaising with the training provider, and advertising of learning opportunities to maximise attendance;
  • Managing program contracts and scheduling for the core skills training programs;
  • Providing input for departmental briefs, minutes and correspondence, including providing data on programs as required;
  • Planning and scheduling programs based on demand and strategic needs of the department;
  • Coordinating program evaluation surveys and collate results;
  • STO training coordination (including organising Video Conferencing and blended learning solutions);
  • Program and Contract Management of Cultural Appreciation Program, diversity training and people based training programs;
  • Meeting the facilitator on the day of a scheduled program to ensure room is set up correctly;
  • Ensuring program communications are accurate and updated as required; and
  • Monitoring program budgets and process invoices as required.

    Ideally you will have:

  • Experience using SAP including SuccessFactors Learning Management System
  • Instructional Design qualifications
  • Experience in corporate Learning and Development environment.

  • APS6 Senior Policy Officer

    Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced Policy Officer to join their Strategy and Governance Section to support the agency’s strategic planning and performance reporting activities including the development of the corporate plan, operational plan and annual plan.

    In this role you will:

  • Coordinate the preparation of key planning and reporting documents including the annual report and performance statements in accordance with statutory reporting timeframes and requirements
  • Coordinate a range of complex information and multiple inputs from line areas; and
  • Work with other members of the section and staff from across the section on projects as needed.

    Ideally you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in a corporate governance role, in particular the production of the annual report, reviewing agency performance reporting or other strategic planning and reporting documents.
  • A good understanding of the policies, guidelines and requirements under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013.

    This is a security assessed position. Applicants must be an Australian citizen, with successful candidate either holding or having the ability to obtain National Police Check. Please include your preference for part time or full time in your cover letter.
