Procurement Helpdesk Officer

Our Federal Government client is currently seeking an experienced Procurement Helpdesk Officer to join their established team responsible for providing advice and guidance to the Department across government procurement activities and related contract management. This opportunity will be offered on an hourly rate contract for a period of 4 weeks.

Working as the Procurement Helpdesk Officer, you will be responsible for

  • Providing accurate and timely strategic procurement and contract management advice and guidance to staff
  • Undertaking or managing commercial procurement activities using both verbal and written communication
  • Reviewing procurement processes and documentation for compliance with the Australian Government’s procurement policy framework, the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and the procurement policy
  • Provide technical assistance and support to staff using the procurement system (SAP based), including system workflow and policy requirements
  • Ensure accurate AusTender data entry and processing

    To be successful in the role, you will possess;

  • Excellent working knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and related Department of Finance policies and requirements
  • Experience in providing procurement policy advice, or practical procurement experience would be an advantage
  • Well-developed research and analytical skills
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills with an ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a team environment to produce high quality work and achieve target dates

    Our client, a high profile not for profit organisation associated with the health industry is seeking a Policy Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis.

    The Policy Adviser will provide policy advice and undertake a range of tasks in respect of the issues managed by the team, including but not limited to health service financing, safety and quality, private health insurance and aspects of digital and mental health.

    Some of the duties required for the role will be to:

  • Undertake research and analysis relevant to the development policies and provide advice on issues
  • Undertake discrete project work, including preparation of publications.
  • Liaise with members and state government bodies, medical Colleges and other stakeholders in the health sector
  • Prepare written material including web-based information, reports and publications, for use in providing advice/information
  • Prepare correspondence and briefs on current issues and campaigns.
  • Provide support for multiple committees, including data collection and analysis, preparation of briefs, minutes and policy drafts and undertake follow up actions.
  • Undertake other work, outside the responsibilities outlined above, as requested by Policy Manager.

    Experience working in health policy and outstanding written communication skills is essential.

    Previous experience working for the Department of Health or similar would be highly regarded.

This area is responsible for the preparation of Australian Public Assessment Reports (AUSPAR) documents relating to major medicine applications received by the Department. This opportunity will be offered on an initial 18 month hourly rate contract basis with the possibility of extension.

    Working as the APS6 Technical Writer, your duties will include but not be limited to:

    Preparing AUSPAR documents from evaluation reports, delegate overviews and other related documents; Liaising with internal stakeholders to finalise content reports; Completing straight forward negotiation with sponsors; Conducting and participating in reviews of report preparation processes, including implementation; Liaising, developing and preparing other technical documents as required; Contributing to education activities for evaluation areas and external evaluators;
