APS4 Corporate Support Officer

    Our federal government client is currently seeking an experienced Corporate Support Officer to join their team in Geelong. This is an initial 6 month contract, with the possibility of extension. As the Corporate Support Officer you will perform a range of corporate support and administrative functions to 3 branches within the Department. You will need to be able to work within the team and adapt quickly to a changing environment. Government experience is highly desirable, however not necessary.

    Duties will include:

  • Provide base Executive Assistant support to Manager
  • Provide basic IT support
  • Preparing procurement artefacts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide budget support to the Senior Corporate Support officer
  • Maintaining and updating HR and recruitment databases
  • Assisting with the on-boarding process of new starters
  • Exercise good judgement and sensitivity
  • Providing advice to the business on correct procurement process

  • APS5/6 Project Officer – Graduate Recruitment

    The opportunity exists for an experienced APS5/6 Project Officer to join an established team responsible for the Graduate Recruitment process within this well-known Federal Government Department located in the city. This opportunity will be offered on an hourly rate contract, commencing ASAP for an initial 3 month period with the high likelihood of extension.

    APS5/6 Provider Risk and Assurance Officers – Multiple opportunities available

    Our well-known Federal Government client is currently seeking multiple Risk and Assurance Officers at the APS5/6 level to undertake assurance activities relating to Provider Operations and viability. These opportunities will be offered on an hourly rate contract through until December 2020 and are available in the following locations;

  • Geelong (VIC)
  • Adelaide (SA)

    Working as the Provider Risk / Assurance Officer, you will be required to;

  • Respond to payment anomalies identified via various channels by engaging with providers
  • Undertake control and conformance testing of provider payments
  • Provide reports on assurance outcomes
  • Provide input into the preparation of advice including briefs and correspondence
  • Assist in undertaking reviews of provider claiming and other behaviours
  • Assist in completion of deep dive risk assessments and risk workshops
  • Undertake assurance over key controls, treatments and audit items
  • Investigate incidents/ issues and near misses to improve internal controls and processes

    To be successful in these roles, applicants will possess;

  • Competency in consistently applying assessment tools to identify key risks and opportunities for process improvement
  • Adaptable communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders
  • The ability to engage in negotiation when dealing with key stakeholders
  • The ability to work within and across teams and adapt quickly to a changing environment.
  • A solid understanding of risk management and compliance policies and frameworks.

    Qualifications required;

  • Experience in assurance testing
  • Experience with process definition
  • Experience in risk management and regulatory compliance disciplines, including controls assurance (for risk-specific roles).

    Entry Level checks will be required for all successful candidates. Appropriate working with children and/or vulnerable people checks may be required.

  • APS4 Executive Assistant

    Our prominent Federal Government client is looking for an experienced APS4 Executive Assistant to join their team starting ASAP.

    You will be working to two branches within the Department and reporting to the SES of the branch. The contract is starting ASAP for 3 months, with the possibility of extension. You will be a proactive problem solver with exceptional communication skills and a meticulous attention to detail. You will be a quick-thinking team player who understands the importance of providing exceptional assistant to both the SES and wider team when required.

    Government experience would be beneficial, however experienced Executive Assistants who have worked within the private sector will be considered.

    A brief summary of duties will include:

  • Extensive diary and scheduling management
  • Email and inbox management
  • Telephone screening
  • Booking travel arrangements (mostly domestic)
  • Coordination of divisional responses for internal and external requests
  • Credit card reconciliation

  • APS6 Reporting Officer – Transformational Management Office - Geelong

    Our Federal Government client is currently seeking an experienced APS6 Reporting Officer to join their Transformational Management Office based in Geelong.

    You will be responsible for drafting reports, briefings and other communications for a range of internal and external stakeholders. The Branch is responsible for developing, testing and rolling out of new initiatives. You will be part of a fast paced environment and have a mix of proactive and reactive work. Your extensive experience in government relations will allow you to provide advice, updates and direction to others within the Department. You will be a strategic thinker who builds trust and respect and take pleasure in the challenge of operating in a complex and dynamic environment.

    This is a contract position starting ASAP with an end date of 31st December 2019 with a pay rate of $51.50 per hour (NON NEGOTIABLE).

    Duties will include:

  • Informing government, executive and stakeholder enquiries, including proactively seeking opportunities to promote projects
  • Producing reports and other communications that are appropriate and fit-for-purpose
