APS5 Provider Engagement Officer

Our Federal Government client is currently seeking an APS5 Provider Engagement Officer to join their team in either Brisbane, Robina or Chermside. You will bring to the role proven relationship management and engagement experience, communication, organisation and management skills. You must demonstrate flexibility and embrace the challenges of working in a complex and changing environment.

Duties will include:

  • Administrative maintenance of the team calendar and scheduling events
  • Managing the team inbox and coordinating responses to queries
  • Assist with the planning of stakeholder engagement to enhance local capabilities for participation
  • Provide advice to relevant work areas about enablers and barriers to business model development
  • Engage with external stakeholders to ensure optimal satisfaction is experienced at each interaction
  • Represent the Department at external information forums and events
  • Assist with managing risks associated with stakeholder relationships through a proactive approach
  • Assist in designing practices and resources to effectively implement the engagement strategy
  • Assist in the delivery and evaluation of stakeholder engagement approaches under direction
  • Prepare draft replies to ministerial and parliamentary correspondence, briefs etc.
  • Manage competing priorities while maintaining high work standards and accuracy

  • APS 3 Business Support Officer

    Our Federal Government client is seeking an APS 3 Business Support Officer who is professional, enthusiastic and respectful to be the first point of contact for clients. You will be assisting with enquiries, reception duties and appointment/ scheduling processes.

    Your responsibilities: • Provide reception support including answering the telephones, emails and provide face to face enquiries • Booking and coordinating appointments, executive meetings and community forum • Provide information about the services the agency and community organisations can provide • Database management including entering customers details, recording communications and complaints

    Your background: • Demonstrated experience in providing reception or customer service duties in a corporate environment • High level of attention to detail • Ability to adapt to an ever changing environment • Intermediate experience using Microsoft Office Suite

    The successful candidate needs to be willing to obtain and maintain an Employee Grade Working with Children Check. You will also need to attend three week classroom induction training. Please note training will be off site. Travel and in some cases overnight stays will be required during this training time.

    APS 4 Executive Assistant

    Our Federal Government client is seeking an APS 4 Executive Assistant. You will be responsible for providing professional administrative, secretarial and research services to Branch Managers.

    Ideally you will have:

  • Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication
  • Consultation and negotiation skills necessary to represent an Executive
  • Gather and share information and build and maintain effective collaborative relationships and teamwork with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels within the organisation
  • Proven time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and respond to rapidly changing priorities and demands in a complex and high volume multidisciplinary environment.
  • Capacity to produce professional written materials including briefs, plans, analysis, reports and recommendations to inform decision making
  • Evidence of ICT and records management skills including the use of databases, applications and systems along with high level use of Microsoft suite of programs
  • Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to make and facilitate decisions and recommendations across the organisation in the public health environment

  • Contract negotiations
  • Extensive stakeholder engagement
  • Managing a secretariat
  • Undertaking geo-mapping exercises

  • APS6 Case Review Officer

  • $50 to $55 per hour dependent on experience

    Our Federal Government client, based in Melbourne, is seeking a candidate at the APS 6 level for a 5 month contract to manage a portfolio of internal review requests.

    The Case Officers will examine all relevant documentation relating to a request for review, request further information and consult with internal advisors where necessary to develop a recommendation. You will develop a recommendation on a decision in response to the request, including collating the relevant supporting documentation and drafting reasons for the decision.

    The successful applicants will be required to:

  • Prepare recommendations in response to unscheduled review and internal review requests
  • Apply legislation, operational guidelines and departmental policy to individual requests
  • Apply principles of administrative law decision making in accordance with both primary and secondary sources, for example under the criteria for reasonable and necessary supports
  • Liaise directly with participants of the program and their representatives, as well as speaking with regional staff where necessary

    Knowledge and experience of working with people with disabilities and an understanding and knowledge of disability and its impact on individuals is essential.

    A background in administrative law or experience in claims management or assessment would be highly regarded.

    Studies in law would also be highly regarded, however this is not a legal role.

    Systems and Networking Support Engineer

    Our client, a private IT firm based in South Canberra, is looking for an experienced Systems and Networking Support Engineer to provide 2nd-3rd level support for server infrastructure and client systems. This is a permanent position and the salary range will be $80,000 – $90,000 depending on skills and experience. Reporting to the ICT Director, this role will encompass 2IC / senior responsibilities and be instrumental in the development of policies and procedures critical to the success of the IT department.

    Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assisting with hardware and software configuration within the standard system images as well as development of Standard Operating Environments (SOE)
  • Network Engineering maintenance duties
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery failover testing and maintenance
  • Documentation and maintenance of existing SOP's and technical documentation
  • Assistance with setup and management of client facing support desk
  • Asset management and tracking utilising industry standard practices
  • Travel to onsites for support and upgrades
  • Report writing

    Essential

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft products including, but not limited to, Windows 7/8/10, Windows 2003/2008 R2/2012 R2 server, RDS, SQL, SharePoint Online, Office, etc
  • TCP/IP & Networking knowledge (i.e. DNS, DHCP, IPv4/6, RADIUS, BGP etc.)
  • Desktop/Application support knowledge (i.e. MS Office, Adobe suites etc.)
  • Microsoft online technologies – Office365, Azure, AWS
  • Excellent working knowledge of data centre architecture
  • Experience in virtualisation across multiple platforms (i.e. Hyper-V, VMware)
  • Experience in Fortinet firewall design and implementation
  • Experience managing and configuring enterprise storage solutions
  • Experience with Scripting - Powershell

    Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
