Senior Systems Engineer – Private

Our Canberra based client has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer with a passion for Business Development on a permanent basis.

This position would suit an IT Technical expert that can understand a business’s needs, build relationships and maintain a high level of client service. A competitive salary as well as further training opportunities is on offer to the right candidate.

Duties will include:

• 3rd level support for server infrastructure and client systems. • Assisting with hardware and software configuration within the standard system images as well as development of a Standard Operating Environment (SOE) • Network Engineering maintenance duties. • Backup and Disaster Recovery failover testing and maintenance. • Documentation and maintenance of existing SOP's and technical documentation. • Assistance with setup and management of client facing support desk. • Asset management and tracking utilising industry standard practices. • Travel to client sites for support and upgrades. • Report writing.

You will possess:

• Knowledge of Microsoft products including, but not limited to, Windows 7/8/10, Windows 2003/2008 R2/2012 R2 server, RDS, SQL, SharePoint Online, Office, etc • TCP/IP & Networking knowledge (i.e. DNS, DHCP, IPv4/6, RADIUS, BGP etc...) • Desktop/Application support (i.e. MS Office, Adobe suites etc.) • Microsoft online technologies - Office365, Azure, AWS • working knowledge of data centre architecture • Experience in virtualisation across multiple platforms (i.e. Hyper-V, VMware) • Fortinet firewall design and implementation

• Experience managing and configuring enterprise storage solutions • Knowledge of scripting - Powershell

APS6 Work Health & Safety Advisor

Our Government client is seeking an experienced APS6 Work Health & Safety Advisor for a 6 month contract with a possible 12 month extension.

To be successful you will need to have demonstrated knowledge of and experience in Work Health and Safety and knowledge of experience in Rehabilitation and Case Management.

Duties include: • Being accountable for research and analysis activities to identify and address work health and safety risks and capability.

• Providing advice on the application of work health and safety legislation and policies and procedures.

• Contributing to the implementation and continuous improvement of work health and safety management systems in accordance with legislation and policies.

• Engaging with internal and external stakeholders on complex and sensitive work health and safety issues.

• Working collaboratively with stakeholders and subject matter experts to resolve work health and safety issues.

• Evaluating activities and processes for compliance with work health and safety legislation, policies and procedures.

• Resolving problems using professional expertise, taking the initiative to identify alternative courses of action and implications for work health and safety activities.

The Archivist will organise, control and coordinate the strategic and operational management of the business's Archives and Record Management.

  • EL1 – El2 – Capital Works Grants Assessor

    Short term contract from late November for approximately 4 weeks. Our Commonwealth government department is seeking an assessor at the EL 1 or EL 2 level, for up to a month in late November/early December, with the experience and capability to assess capital works grant applications. The assessor is responsible for providing a report on the feasibility and value for money components of each applicant’s capital support project. The assessor will review the entire application, including attachments and provide advice for consideration by the Expert Panel.

    The following attachments will be assessed by the Capital Works Assessor for Capital Support applications:

  • Budget Proposal Template
  • Evidence of land/building ownership or permission from the land/building owner to implement proposal.
  • Simple floor plan

    The assessor must demonstrate they have relevant experience and qualifications to be able to assess capital works grant applications.

    Our client, Alzheimer's Australia, an advocate for the needs of people living with all types of dementia, is seeking an experienced Data Analyst and Information Manager on a permanent basis.

    This position undertakes a strategic and an operational role to provide business analysis, data and system support to Alzheimer’s Australia National Office (AANO) and state/territory offices. The role is expected to identify, analyse and facilitate improvements to business systems, processes and workflows aligned with the overall business requirements, information and communications technology (ICT) strategy and the organisation’s operational plans.

    Duties included, however, not limited to:

  • Provide strategic advice and recommendations to the Executive on leveraging program requirements and technology to achieve continuous and sustainable improvements in data management, national data consistency and reporting.
  • Produce clear, detailed project scoping and design documentation to be used by technical specialists to build business appropriate solutions.
  • Monitor the technical development of systems implementation ensuring that key development milestones are met, that business improvements are included, and that the ultimate solution will be in accordance with the business requirements.
  • Research and remain current on technologies, trends, issues, standards and methodologies and identify opportunities to improve systems and process by providing recommendations to management on beneficial changes to policies and practices.
  • Take primary responsibility for developing and maintaining documentation related to the implementation and usage of TCM and Qlik Sense in Alzheimer’s Australia operations, including preparing and updating policies, procedures and resources as required.
  • Provide ongoing second level support and training to the TCM users and liaise with third level support provided by the software vendor or the IT Managed Services for the effective maintenance/issue resolution.
  • Manage key internal and external stakeholders to progress the organisation’s business objectives, which include but are not limited to, being the primary point of contact between Alzheimer’s Australia and software providers and facilitating relevant meetings with the vendor and other stakeholders.

    It is essential that you have a university degree or relevant qualifications in information and database management systems as well as being proficient in data extraction and analysis using SQL queries and relational databases.

    The annual salary for this position is approximately $85,000 plus super and FBT benefits. Salary is negotiable based on skills and experience.
