EL1 Assistant Director, Business Assurance – GEELONG

Our Federal Government client based in Geelong is seeking an experienced EL1 Assistant Director to work in their Business Assurance Branch assisting the Director of the Risk and Compliance team.

This is a contract position until 30 June 2019 with the possibility of a further 6 month extension.

The successful candidate will have managerial responsibilities for a team of Business Assurance Officers. You will have previous Business Assurance process experience ideally within a Government environment, however this is not mandatory. It would be highly desirable if you come from a risk or compliance background.

Some of the duties include:

  • Lead a team to identify payment system control weaknesses and provide recommendations to address
  • Lead a team to address business assurance related audit findings
  • Lead a team to develop analytics/reports to identify payment anomalies
  • Provide input in the preparation of advice including briefs and business intelligence reporting

    To be successful in this position, you must be competent with IT systems including SAS and Microsoft Excel.

  • APS4 Executive Assistant – Baseline Clearance

    We are seeking an experienced APS 4 Executive Assistant for a 3 month contract commencing immediately.

    Some of the duties include however, are not limited to:

  • Management and co-ordination of a diary, including scheduling, organising venues and making travel arrangements
  • Management of correspondence including monitoring emails and responding to enquiries
  • Screening calls
  • Liaising with stakeholders and supporting the reception as required
  • Act as first point of contact for clients and the public
  • Assisting with financial management

    The successful candidate must hold a Baseline Security Clearance.

    The hourly rate range will be approximately $40 to $44 per hour plus superannuation depending on skills and experience.

    Our client, a centrally located federal government department is seeking assistance with a rehabilitation project for a period of 6 months with the possibility of extension.

    You will be required to:

  • Manage a rehabilitation client satisfaction survey pilot
  • Manage the program functions of the provider improvement project:
  • Maintain terms and definitions
  • Manage procurement arrangements for rehabilitation providers, including service level agreements, performance agreements, etc
  • Develop service standards and service coding
  • Develop the Rehabilitation Service Provider Manual
  • Undertake Forms review and develop smart forms
  • Undertake geo-mapping of clients/providers/services
  • Assist Director and Assistant Directors as required

    Necessary skills and attributes:
