EL 1 – Project Manager

This large Commonwealth department is seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, procurement and execution of a Grants Management Plan. This includes scoping, maintaining project issues and risk logs, coordinating secretariat functions, and identifying business and training needs. Previous experience in developing grants management plans will be highly regarded.


APS6 – Manufacturing Review and Scheduling Officer

Long term vacancy till 29 June 2018 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months.

Key functions Undertake activities related to scheduling on-site inspections.

This includes:

  • Scheduling of overseas and domestic inspections
  • Generate monthly reports detailing status of inspections
  • Ensure minimal impact to the schedule and performance/revenue target
  • Liaise with other recognised regulators to share information / coordinate joint inspections
  • Generation of various reports from Manufacturers Information System (MIS) for management, including budget reports, inspection forecasts, etc.

    Mandatory Requirements: A tertiary qualification in chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, biotechnology, pharmacy or engineering from an Australian tertiary institute or equivalent overseas qualification.

    Desirable Requirements: A thorough understanding of manufacturing terminology and use of applicable manufacturing and regulatory standards/guidelines to assess applications for GMP clearances is highly desirable.


  • SOG B Marketing & Communication Manager and a SOG B Senior Manager Media & Events

    Our Government client is seeking a SOG B Marketing & Communication Manager and a SOG B Senior Manager Media & Events starting immediately for 6 month contracts.

    The Marketing, Communication, Media and Events team is responsible for media and issues management, marketing campaigns, communication strategies, publication approvals, community engagement strategies, customer research and internal communication strategies.

    Various duties for both positions include:

  • Provide effective leadership in the development and implementation of the Directorates media strategy including crisis/issues identification and management.
  • Identify, develop and enhance relationships with media representative. Provide strategic high level advice on media issues to executive management and Minister’s office.
  • Provide high-level advice and communication support to executive management in handling media and community engagement issues. Manage the media inquiry process and act as a spokesperson when required.
  • Conduct media analysis for the Directorate. Manage and oversee adherence to the media policy and maintain for accuracy.
  • Coordinate Ministerial and Directorate events including supporting media, speeches and presentation material.

    Extensive high level government experience in public relations, communications and media liaison in a government setting is essential as is a tertiary education in a related field.


  • SOGA Senior Manager Communications

    Our Government client Is seeking an experienced SOGA Senior Manager of Communications starting as soon as possible for a 3 month contract.

    This position leads communications and stakeholder engagement including the delivery of high quality and responsive public information for the light rail project.

    Duties include:

  • Developing and implementing the strategic direction for the Light Rail communication and engagement team;
  • Overseeing the development and delivery of a comprehensive and resilient communications and engagement strategies for Light Rail Stages 1 and 2;
  • Leading a team to deliver the day to day marketing, communications, consultation and media engagement activity;
  • Planning and delivery of meaningful engagement activities, including management of sensitive issues and conversations;
  • Managing the performance of the delivery partner for Stage 1 against project communications and engagement requirements as detailed in the Project Agreement (contract management);
  • Managing the performance of the Community Engagement Advisor for Light Rail Stage 2 against the contracted scope and requirements
  • Contributing to the overall management of the projects as part of the management team;
  • Managing and enhancing the overall reputation management of the project;
  • Managing the relationship between the Light Rail Project Team and the Minister’s office.
  • Reporting on team’s activities to Executive and Minister.

    Extensive high level government experience in public relations, communications and media liaison in a government setting is essential as is a tertiary education in a related field.


  • ASO5 Communications Officer

    Our Government client is seeking an experience Communications Officer at the ASO5 level commencing immediately up until 31 December 2017 with the possibility of extension.

    Duties will include:

  • Prepare media releases, organise photo/launch opportunities and respond to media enquiries
  • Develop media, communication and community engagement strategies on issues across the Directorate
  • Provide advice to officers from the Directorate to ensure their communication activities are timely, accurate and appropriate
  • Utilise digital media channels to inform the community about Directorate activities and keep abreast of new developments in the digital space
  • Develop and implement communication strategies ensuring up-to-date and consistent corporate messages
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the Minister’s office, internal business areas, media, advertising companies and community groups to help deliver the Directorate’s communication and community engagement outcomes
  • Manage out of hours media enquiries as part of an on-call roster arrangement
  • Support other members of the Communications team on joint projects when required.

    A Degree or Diploma in communications, public relations, journalism or related discipline and/or demonstrated experience in a public relations, newspaper, television or public affairs environment would be highly desirable.


  • APS 5/6 Forum Coordinator - Small Business Policy

    Our client, a new statutory agency working with small business policy, is seeking a Forum Coordinator for a period of 3 months with the possibility of extension.

    The position will require the successful candidate to facilitate and manage the delivery of outcomes related to the industry working groups associated with the Policy Forum.

    Responsibilities include:

  • assisting with administrative and facilitative work related to the running of the policy forum working groups
  • assisting with event organisation such as meetings or workshops, including assisting with coordinating working group papers, responses and reports
  • providing support for an advocacy team’s activities, which may include: the next policy forum and related events and/or other types of departmental briefs; correspondence and other communications and reporting duties, as required.

    A background in small business policy combined with an events background would be highly regarded.

    This is a security assessed position. Applicants must be an Australian citizen, with successful candidate either holding or having the ability to obtain a Baseline Australian Government security clearance or undergo other employment suitability checks.


  • SYDNEY - APS 6 Governance Officer – Part Time

    An exciting opportunity exists for an APS 6 Governance Officer to join a busy centrally based government department in the Sydney CBD. This position will be on a part time basis working 3 days per week with an immediate start and on contract until December 2017.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for providing secretariat, operational and strategic administrative support to the Governance Manager/Chief Audit Executive (CAE) and the Audit Committee.

    You will have current or recent experience with Governance Policy, Structure and Framework, Risk Management, Performance Measurement, Strategic and Operational Planning as well as Statutory Compliance and working with Policy Frameworks.

    Previous Governance experience at a minimum of the APS 6 level is essential for this role. A current Baseline clearance would be highly regarded.
