We are currently recruiting for multiple vacancies within our well-known, high profile Federal Government client located in Canberra’s south. All opportunities listed below will be offered on an hourly rate contract for an initial 3 month period with the possibility for extension.

APS 4 Generalist – Grants

Commencing ASAP, you will be working within the Client Engagement and Design team and will possess the following skills;

  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Solid writing skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of team

    This position would suit candidates that have recently finished university or a business course at a vocational institution.

    APS6 Grant Design and Documentation Officer

    Commencing ASAP, you will become part of an established team responsible for the design and development of Grants documentation for Departmental use.

    You will be required to;

  • Provide advice to client agencies on the appropriate templates, procedures and content for grant round documentation
  • Work with client agencies to develop guidelines in line with the Commonwealth Grants Rules and Guidelines, and other grants legislation
  • Facilitate the approval process for guidelines, liaising with central agencies including the Department of Finance to finalise documentation
  • Prepare documentation for publishing on websites, including conducting quality assurance checks and liaising with the Communications team to provide access to the application form.

    To succeed in this role, you will possess;

  • A strong client focused approach supported by excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Expertise across the government grants program lifecycle and/or an understanding of the Shared Services environment and the Whole Of Government grants reform
  • Experience with grant management systems, e.g. FOFMS, Data Exchange, Qlik, SAP
  • An ability to build maintain strong client relationships
  • An ability to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team environment, to deliver high quality work within deadlines
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.

    APS6 Grant Design Officers – Multiple opportunities

    Commencing ASAP, you will be working as part of the Client Engagement and Design team to;

  • Coordinate and support the development of grant rounds while facilitating relationships with clients and other teams
  • Support client agencies in driving and increasing program performance, delivering high quality services and maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, policy and guidelines
  • Offer support and advice during NPP development
  • Facilitate Program Design sessions
  • Determine the most appropriate Program Model and selection process
  • Facilitate Risk Assessments
  • Work with client agencies to identify program reporting requirements
  • Coordinate a handover pack to proceed to the Selection phase

    To be successful in this role, you will possess;

    Our federal government client, based in Geelong, is seeking an experienced Learning and Development specialist to start ASAP for a 6 month contract with a possible 6 month extension. You are able to base yourself in either Geelong or Melbourne, however if you base yourself in Melbourne you will have regular travel to Geelong.

    The Senior Advisor - Learning and Development will be responsible for a range of learning and development functions for an automation project on the Risk Management processes of this division.

    Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert learning and development advice, assistance and support to the Change Manager and project team
  • Delivering a high standard of instructional design in the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of engaging and results orientated learning solutions including eLearning courses; face to face training materials; self-paced guides; other on-the-job reference tools.
  • Ensuring that all learning and development resources meet Agency accessibility requirements and the international WCAG 2.0 AA standards.
  • Collaborating with and building productive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure learning solutions remain responsive and relevant.
  • Undertaking procurement and co-ordination of learning offerings and programs if/as required.
  • Delivering in-person and virtual training such as workshops, classes and webinars.

    Ideally you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum 3 years instructional design experience, preferably in a systems implementation context, in a fast paced, high demand environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Learning and Development or Adult Education.
  • Previous experience in a risk management or risk based program work/area.

    Our Federal Government client, based in Melbourne CBD, is seeking an experienced and strategic Events, Marketing and/or Public Relations Manager to develop, manage and deliver engagement and growth of the departments contemporary and innovative approaches strategy. This contract is due to commence Mid-February for a 12 month period with the possibility of a 6 month extension. This role forms part of the Growth and Innovation team that sits in the Markets, Provider and Sector Development Division.

    Working collaboratively with the Director and colleagues across the department, the Assistant Director will possess or quickly acquire:

  • A sound understanding of the aims and functions across the Division and work activities to support a vibrant marketplace.
  • A sound understanding of market structures and segments in the department, including the role of clients as consumers, entrepreneurial ecosystem, research and innovation.
  • A sound understanding of design thinking and innovative approaches to engagement, challenges and events.
  • Good engagement, analytical and investigative skills to support problem solving.
  • Build and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders through participation at events, including in the community and disability sectors.

    Key duties include:

  • Accountability for designing and managing engagement approaches and national events including design challenges, summits, awards and think tanks.

  • Asset Governance Officers

    Our client is seeking an experienced Asset Governance Officer at the APS 5 and APS 6 Level to join their dynamic team on a 12 month non-ongoing contract.

    The successful candidates will be working in the maintenance section of the Department and will develop maintenance strategies; plans and procedures ensuring all strategies and plans comply with relevant statutory codes, regulations and WHS requirements.

    The duties at the APS 5 level include but are not limited to:

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholder relationships to achieve work area goals
  • Assist the work area in relation to policy development to ensure positive customer and project outcomes
  • Undertake research and analyse in order to assist in the reporting on customer feedback
