APS6 Project Officer

Our well-known Federal Government client is currently seeking an APS6 Project Officer to join their team on a contractual basis. Operating under broad direction, you will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support relevant policies and projects. This position would suit someone who has a communication or learning and development background.

Your responsibilities will include;

  • Assisting in the development of capability development documents such as presentations, implementation plans and e-learning content
  • Developing documentation for communication of capability plans and general communications material
  • Developing project management plans
  • Undertaking research and analysis
  • Supporting the broader team, as required, with administrative tasks

    To be successful in this position, you will possess;

  • Demonstrated experience in project management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • The ability to exercise good judgement and sound decision-making
  • A general understanding of Commonwealth grants would be well regarded

  • APS6 Junior Project Manager

    6 month contract with the possibility of extension | Geelong VIC Location | Hourly rate of $51.50 plus superannuation

    Our Federal Government client is currently seeking a Junior Project Manager at the APS6 level. Within this role, you will plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of small to medium sized projects. You will work closely with the program manager and other project managers to ensure that the scope and direction of each project is on schedule and within budget.

    Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;

  • Supporting the program manager in the project scoping, development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of small to medium sized projects
  • Managing the effective governance of the project, ensuring appropriate evaluation of progress, quality, cost activities and escalation as necessary
  • Supervising project activities and resources to deliver agreed outputs
  • Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with external stakeholder to support effective communications
  • Performing research and analysis to assist in the development of solutions to issues effecting delivery of projects
  • Ensuring project coverage and managing the project estimating activities
  • Maintaining project artefacts including project management plan, budget, resourcing, scheduling and performance reports

    Demonstrated experience delivering small to medium sized projects and formal project management qualifications would be highly advantageous.

    Your responsibilities will include;

  • Working with a focus on research, analysis and judgement to manage complex issues
  • Solving highly complex data problems that impact strategic or operational outcomes for the department
  • Overseeing and validating data and reports for consistency, accuracy and completeness
  • Monitoring the impact and quality of data
  • Performing qualitative and quantitative data analysis
  • Identifying trends and insights to support business performance
  • Preparing reports and presentations in a clear and simple language
  • Document methodologies and requirements

    To be successful in this position, you will possess;

  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to actively manage key stakeholder relationships

    Your responsibilities:

    Your background:

    Our Federal Government client is currently seeking an Engagement Manager to join their team on a contractual basis. As the Engagement Manager you will be undertaking engagement activities to support the Program you will be working on. You will be responsible for frontline stakeholder engagement and consultation activities to support the Department’s development of the Program.
