APS 4 Grants Officer

Our client, a Commonwealth Government department is seeking candidates for an APS4 Grants Officer position for a 6 month contract with possible 6 months extension.

Duties include:

  • Registration of grant applications
  • Recordkeeping tasks
  • Follow up of compliance issues
  • Stakeholder engagement

    Skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in the administration of excel spreadsheets in a project or grants management capacity
  • Well-developed organisational skills with a high level of initiative
  • Ability to consistently deliver high quality outcomes in a high pressure environment
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills
  • A commitment to a safe environment, cooperative working practices consistent with the APS Values and the Department’s mission.

    Highly desirable but not essential:

  • An understanding of the grants process, e.g. assessment, recommendation documentation, grant agreement preparation

  • ASO5 - Client Services Manager

    A community services agency is seeking an experienced Client Services Manager who has had previous experience in social policy, community issues or the not for profit sector. You must have the ability to demonstrate strong negotiation and problem solving skills, and empathy for clients dealing with complex and crisis situations.

    Specific duties include:

  • Client service visits
  • Routine property inspections
  • Monitor case plans
  • Provide input into planning and delivery of services
  • Prepare general correspondence and provide information and draft replies for responses to ministerial correspondence

    You must have a clean driving record and the vacancy is being offered for an initial 6 to 8 weeks with possibility of an extension. The hourly contract rate is around $37 plus superannuation and the role will commence ASAP.

The section manages pricing and decision reviews, product billing and industry assistance, regulatory project and change management, regulatory guidance and regulatory assistance functions, along with their systems. The key responsibilities of the role include

    • Experience in revenue, cost recovery and financial analysis

    APS6 Program/Secretariat Officer

    Candidates must have a minimum of a Baseline Security clearance

    Our client, a centrally based high profile Government department is seeking an experienced Program Officer at the APS5/6 level. This position will be a 6 month initial contract with the possibility of extension.

    Key work will involve assisting with the implementation of the Joint Cyber Security Centres (JCSC) in key Capital Cities in Australia. The JCSC provides a physical space for business, government and academia to share information on cyber threats and to collaborate on solutions. Strategic planning in the future of the JCSC will become a major part of the role once all JCSC’s are opened and fully operational.

    You will support a SES level Committee providing meeting papers and minute taking. The position is within CERT Australia, which has been part of the recent ‘machinery of Government’ changes resulting in the relocation of the Division to the Australian Signals Directorate on or before 31 June 2018. Minimal interstate travel may be required.

    The successful candidate will have the ability to provide expert secretariat support and management and analyse issues to achieve innovative solutions and techniques.

    Experience or qualifications relating to Law Enforcement, Cyber Security or legal issues and experience producing high quality written material would be highly regarded.


    Management Accountant - Sydney

    The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the general accounting function of the department, oversee the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements and make appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization.

    You must have SAP Experience, a Bachelor Degree in a relevant field and demonstrated 7 years work experience in the field or related area.
