APS5 Graphic Designer

Our well known Federal Government client is currently seeking an APS5 Graphic Designer to join their team in Geelong, VIC. You will be joining their Strategic Communications Branch which provides communication solutions and advice to support the Department deliver on their programs. This role provides an opportunity for you to use your creative digital skills to contribute to one of Australia’s biggest social reforms. Providing high quality creative digital services and advice you will enjoy working collaboratively to support the delivery of communications and marketing objectives for the Department.

Duties will include:

  • Design a wide range of hard copy print and digital communications including; strategies, guidance material, reports, brochures and booklets
  • Provide strategic and considered creative advice on communication activities and strategies
  • Contribute to the Branch’s input and access to the corporate image library, coordinating photo shoots and managing the consent process
  • Contribute to the regular development, delivery and review of strategic communications content
  • Prepare high-quality, clear and accessible collateral that meets the needs of external audiences and aligns with the Department’s brand
  • Fostering creative and innovation in digital content creation across a range of channels

    Essential requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification or extensive relevant experience in graphic design
  • Presentation of a strong design portfolio is highly desirable
  • Extensive experience in Adobe Creative Suite including; InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator & Premier Pro

  • APS4 Executive Assistant

    Our Federal Government client is currently seeking an experienced Executive Assistant at the APS 4 level to join their team commencing immediately. Within this role, you will utilise your previous experience to support the office and ensure that is consistently operating in a well organised, efficient and effective manner.

    Your responsibilities will include;

  • Performing ‘front of house’ support functions, including greeting visitors and receiving and responding to phone calls, emails and general correspondence
  • Providing executive support including managing the appointment diary and meeting arrangements for the Executive
  • Identifying issues and listen, ask questions and use common sense to solve problems
  • Utilising information available to prepare briefing packs, reports and papers for senior committees
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Arranging, coordinating and reconciling all aspects of domestic and international travel
  • Assisting with providing finance support when directed
  • Maintaining records management systems

    To be successful in this position, it is essential that you possess;

  • Immediate to advanced level MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • APS6 Compliance Policy Officer

    Our prominent Federal Government client is currently seeking an APS6 Compliance Policy Officer to join their team on a contractual basis. Within this role, you will lead the design and coordination of an integrated and targeted compliance program. In addition, you will also be responsible in designing an integrated compliance targeting strategy.

    Your responsibilities will include;

  • Analysing and evaluating past and current activities and policies, including best-practice compliance targeting strategies
  • Preparing reports and briefs
  • Engaging stakeholders to inform targeting
  • Collaborating with a small team of case workers, inspectors, investigators and intelligence analysts
  • Assisting with logistics of the inspection program
  • Contributing to the development of education, communication and stakeholder engagement materials and activities
  • Reviewing and developing policies, guidance material and standard operating procedures

    To be successful in this position, you will possess;

  • Strong analytical and organisational skills
  • Ability to be self-motivated and collaborative
  • Strong communication and stakeholder liaison skills including negotiation and conflict management skills

    The successful applicant will review the evidence needed for the Agencies assessment process, including improvements to the planning process to ensure support consistency.     Our Federal Government client is currently seeking an Assistant Manager at the EL1 level to join their team on a contractual basis. Under the direction of the Manager and support of a small team, you will be responsible for ministerial and parliamentary coordination as well as managing the Secretariat function. This role will have a particular focus on quality checking, process coordination and prioritisation.

    Your responsibilities will include;

  • Managing workflow of ministerial correspondence, freedom of information requests, briefs and submissions
  • Drafting of briefs, parliamentary questions, senate estimates and managing items through PDMS
  • Managing a small team that provide secretariat function for governance committees
  • Maintaining a program wide FAQ used to support formal correspondence and talking points
  • Development of tools and processes to facilitate efficient coordination and delivery of timely information
