APS6 Project/Policy Officer

  • Project management for specific reforms as required
  • Assist in the development and implementation of communication and change management strategies

  • APS6 – EL2 Procurement/ Contract Management Officer

    Our client, a Commonwealth government department is seeking an experienced Procurement/ Contract Management officer between the APS6 – EL2 level. Salary will be based on skills and experience.

    The role is being offered for a start in April till August 2018 with possible extension.

    The key duties of the role are to undertake a range of procurement and contract management activities for several contracts, including contract negotiation, contract management and deliverable assessment.

    You will be responsible in reviewing the procurement processes including tender documentation for compliance with the Australian Government’s procurement policy framework, the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and the Department’s procurement policy.

    The successful candidate will need to possess the following skills:

  • Experience with procurement and contract management
  • Experience in providing procurement policy advice, or practical procurement experience
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal), including capacity to build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders

    Our client a commonwealth department is seeking an experienced APS6 Pharmacist for an immediate start. Contract is until 30 June 2018 with a possible 12 month extension.


  • Undertaking evaluations of documents, applications and submissions.
  • Assisting with streamlining of applications to ensure efficient processes and deadlines are met.
  • Liaising, engaging and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex and/or sensitive issues in relation to compliance with legislation, regulations and standards.
  • Drafting written scientific and/or technical documentation and correspondence with stakeholders.
  • Undertaking research and analysis activities and maintaining a good professional knowledge of and expertise in pharmacy practice in Australia, adopted regulatory guidelines, standards promulgated in Australia and the scientific literature as it relates to the functions of the position.
  • Implementation of reform work and business process improvement.

    To be successful you must hold a degree in pharmacy and be registered as a practicing pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    Our client, a Commonwealth government department is seeking an experience Web Developer at the EL1 level. The role is being offered for an immediate start until 24 December 2018 with possible extension.

    Duties will include:

  • Under minimal direction and as part of a small team, contribute to the outcomes of the Branch and undertake project administration and business as usual.
  • Development of additional functionality in existing Drupal website.
  • Update components of new and existing website functions.
  • Provide advice and guidance on appropriate development options for website design and development tasks including privacy and security considerations.
  • Manage section YouTube content including transcripts and captions.
  • Upload new content and modify existing content, where possible, to meet WCAG 2.0.
  • Convert print publications to accessible HTML and publish on the Branch Portal.
  • Convert activity publications to interactive online activities.
  • Work with the Communications section to post new content on social media.
  • Monitor Google analytics to continually improve content delivery and advertisement on the Branch Portal.

    Skills in the following would be highly desirable:

  • SASS/SCSS, HTML5, JavaScript and Gulp.
  • Adobe Acrobat Pro knowledge including, the ability to create fillable PDF’s using Adobe Acrobat.
  • Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator experience
  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) and an understanding of the Digital Service Standard.
  • Experience with source control using Git.
  • Amazon Web Services experience including the management of basic sites Drupal and WordPress sites, domains and s3 buckets.

  • APS 4-5 Secretariat/Regulatory Reform Officer

Successful candidates will have: Scientific analytical ability demonstrated through work in a research, industry or regulatory environment. a relevant qualification in biochemistry, pharmacy, toxicology, medical sciences, biological sciences, biomedical science, pharmacology, pharmacognosy or any other relevant discipline from an Australian tertiary institution or comparable overseas qualification. It is desirable to have a post-doctoral qualification (in the fields of toxicology, pharmacology, physiology, biochemistry, virology, immunology or molecular biology, or similar), together with research experience in a relevant field.
